It’s that time of the year again, a month where red hearts and reminders of singleness seem to be everywhere. We all know that Valentines Day is silly, and yet, it can still trigger all sorts of feels.

Why am I still single?

Why doesn't my partner act the way I want them to?

Why do I keep attracting the same person over and over?

Maybe I don't really love them after all.

Since our relationship to self has a direct correlation to our romantic relationships (or lack there of), this day is a great opportunity to work on anything standing in the way of you truly loving you. All you need is a journal; headphones and an eye cover are optional.

Return to this meditation as many times as you need. The more you do it, the better. If you feel stuck or have trouble getting answers, don't worry; be patient and gentle with yourself.

So Purkh Bath

Coming from the Kundalini Yoga lineage, So Purkh is a powerful love chant. It is said to call in your soulmate, acting as a potent remedy to healing your relationship to the masculine. It also raises the consciousness of 3 men in your life, and in my experience, removes men who don't belong. Within a couple days of chanting this for the first time, my then boyfriend broke up with me; something I needed to do, but couldn't gather the strength to really cut him out. There are many, many other stories like this.

If working with a mantra is new to you, you can think of it as a code for the universe. Another way to view it is like a spell - the words are instructions. In order to learn So Purkh, you can look up the words and mumble along till it becomes natural or you can simply listen to it. My favorite way to do it is with a nice, hot bath.

Rose Quartz (or any of your favorite crystals)

1 can full fat coconut milk

A few drops of lavender or rose essential oil

A candle

Rose petals (optional)

Instructions: Choose 3 men who you want to focus on for this round of So Purkh. One of them can be your future partner. As you light the candle with a match, dedicate this mantra to each of them. Pour the ingredients into the bath and enjoy.
